Shipping
How long until it arrives?
Roughly 2 to 4 weeks from the day you order. Orders are processed in 1 to 3 business days, then standard delivery to the US typically takes 10 to 20 business days.
We would rather tell you that now than surprise you after you have paid. If you need something in two days, Close Call is not that. If you can wait a few weeks for a tool you will use for years, it is worth it.
Why does it take that long?
Close Call ships direct from our overseas fulfillment partner rather than sitting in a US warehouse first. That is the reason the price is $34.99 instead of $60, and the reason shipping is free. We think it is a fair trade. We just want you making that trade knowingly.
What does shipping cost?
Nothing. Free standard shipping on every order, no minimum, no surprise charges at checkout.
Do you ship outside the United States?
Not yet. We currently ship to US addresses only.
Do I get tracking?
Yes. You will get a tracking number by email once your order leaves the fulfillment center.
The product
What does it actually trim?
Nose, ears and eyebrows. One tool, three jobs. The rounded-tip stainless blade head is the same on all three.
Will it pull or nick me?
It should not. The blades sit behind a rounded guard, so the cutting edge never touches skin directly. That is the whole difference between a trimmer and the scissors or tweezers you have been using.
How do I clean it?
Twist the blade head off and rinse it under running water. Let it dry, twist it back on. Takes about fifteen seconds.
Can I run the whole trimmer under the tap?
No. The detachable blade head is designed to be rinsed. The body is not. Keep the body dry and wipe it with a cloth if it needs it. This is the one thing worth remembering.
How does it charge?
USB-C, using the same cable as most modern phones and laptops. There is an LED battery indicator on the body so you are never guessing how much charge is left.
How often should I use it?
About ten seconds, once a week, is enough for most people. It is not a daily thing.
What colors are there?
Sand Black and Sand White. Same trimmer, same price.
Orders and returns
What if I do not like it?
You have 30 days from delivery to ask for your money back. Because this is a personal grooming product, we usually do not ask you to ship a used trimmer back. In most cases we approve the refund without a return. See our refund policy for the full detail.
Can I change or cancel my order?
If it has not shipped yet, yes. Get in touch quickly and we will sort it out. Once it is with the carrier we have to wait for it to arrive, then handle it as a return.
How do I reach a person?
Use the contact page. A real person answers every message, usually within 2 business days, Monday through Friday. Include your order number if you have one.
